Ep. 12 – It’s Cooking Time

snffpwo-episode12

That’s right. It’s time to cook. Now that the village is underway, and with more mouths to feed, Brian decides that it may be helpful if he learned a thing or two about the art of cooking to help ease the burden on Adam (the regular cook of the group). With frying pans in hand, they head to their new cooking spot inside of their Inn & Pub, but not before Adam comments on the ridiculous cooking outfit Brian wears to the show to help him through the episode.

In this episode receive the weekly update to the Factional Fight Village, the basics about cooking (along with some helpful tips & tricks), and their weekly Question/Answer segment. Thanks for watching!

Good episode.  So many new players put off cooking until they've fasted their way to starvation.  Although it may seem confusing and a waste of time, it's very important if you don't have someone around constantly supplying you with high quality meals.

Remember, with nutrition of 60% and higher, you actually get increased skillgain.  At under 50% you get less skillgain.  Who doesn't want to optimize their skillgain?

When you are beginning your cooking career (even if you don't have a cool apron like Faeran), you can use whatever herbs, vegetables and meat you can gather and store them in your Food Storage Bin.  If you are going to become a chef, at a certain point you will want to have an additional Food Storage Bin for your higher quality produce and meats.  When cooking for skillgain, use your low quality items for skill.  Once you hit Hot Food Cooking 70, you will notice that if you continue to use these lower quality items, you won't be getting as many meals close to your cooking level as you should. For skillgain, this is fine.  For eating and nutrition, you're selling yourself short.   At this point it's time to move on to your higher quality ingredients and it's time to improve your frying pans as much as you can when cooking meals to eat.

You will find that if you use quality 70 vegetables, quality 70 filets and quality 70 frying pans, you will get more quality 70 meals than you will with your skilling cooking set.

If you are a do it yourself kind of gal and guy, then you can see you'll need to work on your farming and your butchering skills to keep up with your cooking skill so you always have what you need on hand to optimize your results.

fast cooling works with containers inside containers, not just forges,so new player that dont have forges yet could use an unlit campfire with a container in it to cool their stuff
